April 8 - Gut And Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) Diet

Guts And Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) Diet

(Date changed from April 1 to April 15)

Paleo? Vegan? Metabolic? Blood Type?  Low Carb?  Raw Food? Sponsered for by Coca-Cola?  Endorsed by ADA?

No, this is not another one of these diet!   WAPF doesn't endorse any diet and on the contrary often criticize many of them.  We do have a dietary guideline (Healthy 4 Life book as PDF here) which is an alternative and makes more sense to the USDA lowfat, high carbohydrate dietary guidelines.

So what is the Guts and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) diet and why are we talking about it?

Well, for starter, over 60% of your immune system is controlled by your Gut Flora and you can read about what one of the board member, Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride discovered in the process of curing her son of autism and that applies to ALL human wellness (watch and read more about Dr. Campbell-McBride here).

This Sunday, Meridan Grace, a certified GAPS practitoners trained by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, wil be available to explain how you apply the GAP's approach to your every day diet, how it can profoundly impact the quality of your health and be one of the most important components in your healing.
You will also learn how to:

1) Tweak the Weston A. Price Dietary Guidelines for maximum gut health
2) Make great GAPS recipes
3) Performa a simple test to see if you are allergic to food
4) Sucessfully conceive and have healthy children in this toxic world.

Meridan is warm and inviting and answer many of your questions.  There will be plenty of discussion as well as a lecture.  Bring your questions!  We will also have individuals and moms with austic children who are on the GAPS diet to share their experience.
